Udalbiltza

Udalbiltza is a Basque national legal entity. It is a consortium that, in compliance with established procedures, can be made up of municipalities and private non-profit associations that so decide. As stated in its statutes, the Consortium is committed to overcoming the limitation imposed by the two States on the basis of international treaties and European legislation, in particular the Treaty of Bayonne of 10 March 1995, under which the municipalities of the French Republic can join this Consortium.

In the construction of a sovereign Basque Country, the main objective of the Udalbiltza Consortium is to promote the development and internal cohesion of the Basque Country. To this end, it promotes mutual knowledge and institutional collaboration between the municipalities of the three administrative areas that divide the Basque territory, being also accompanied by agents that are expressions of great dynamism of the Basque society.
